This book made me cry several times. I fell in love with some of the characters and the ending absolutely broke me. I am amazed at how uniquely this book was wrote and how it brought me to to tears so much. I am glad this was the first book I read this year (tho I did also read some of it in December.)
This book is not my favourite of all time but the writing and story was so fantastic so I'm rating it a 5.
Max leaving and being seen on the street made my heart shatter, I'm glad he lived in the end but I didn't really have time to process that he did because the ending was so painful to read.

Really happy to have finally read this book. The narrator POV is so fascinating, and I think it really allows the reader to view a familiar subject from a new perspective. The characters were endearing and of course, the subject matter soul-crushing. I didn't rate this higher because I don't feel like I truly fell in love, and I didn't read this compulsively, but I really enjoyed this read and feel like it was definitely worthwhile.
