What do you do when you feel like your marriage is over since you do not love each other but you don’t want to call it quits, take a year apart! This is the premise of this story. I liked the story, mostly seeing Lauren’s side with her family & friends with a sprinkle of Ryan’s life through email drafts. But the ending felt forced as to so much happening on the same day.

Bem melhor do que esperava!!! Não sou fã de romances, mas a viagem do Ryan e da Lauren foi dolorosa e incrível!!! Superou as minhas expectativas!!!

a super quick read but a wacky premise.

I think the book did a good job of showing how marriages can stagnant but the premise of them not speaking for a year just feels ridiculous. So much can change in a year and they snapped back like it was nothing? I also don’t know how you could look past the fact they had both been with other people. Charlie’s insistence that Ryan should attend his wedding when he knows his sister hasn’t seen him in 8 months also feels bizarre. Everything was wrapped up very quickly and Lauren went from not really caring about Ryan to suddenly wanting him back.
