I had the weirdest feeling I've read this book before, like deja-vu of reading the stories every single chapter, but it's only been published last year and there's no GR record so I don't get it...
informative reflective medium-paced

I got so much out of this. For someone who is on the higher end of midsize or small fat, who doesn't have kids, and who has already started on a road towards body neutrality this gave me so many strategies to guide the conversations of young people I interact with to help them navigate the rocky waters of fatphobia. I will absolutely be recommending this to people that I know who have kids.

(I would have given the book 4 stars, but the digital edition I read through Libby, and the paperback copy from my local library did not have references which is a major failing for a research based piece of work. The hardcover edition does have references printed within and the resources are available on the authors website but this is not good enough.)

I love that this wasn’t repetitive which I often find in non-fiction reads!! Practical advice and perfect for the age group.

This book should be required reading for everyone; growing up in a larger body, this challenged so many concepts that have been drilled into my head since I was a child. I've talked about this book to anyone who will listen and recommended to so many people!

A must read.
