Not the kind of messaging I want in my head right now

this was chock full of such good resources for combatting anti-fat biased health arguments! such a strong body of evidence for why dieting is always harmful for kids (and adults too). i'm not a nonfiction person, so the storytelling about the various folks she had interviewed was what really hooked me, and i finished it in just a few days, which is usually unprecedented for me. loved the summary and resources at the end as well.

at the beginning she promised to explore how anti-fat bias is connected to white supremacy, but i was disappointed to find that she didn't really fully weave that analysis in. it was pretty limited to a few "plus, racism" additions to paragraphs that were otherwise ignoring those links.
