This is very heavily focused on parenting and how parents talk to and feed their kids, but even as someone who doesn't plan on ever having kids I loved this book. As someone that has struggled with anorexia and whose mum played a significant part in that I found this very healing. A thoroughly researched book that was informative and accessible and cathartic.
fast-paced

Changed how I think about and how I will talk to my children, patients, and others about fat. I do wish the researcher cited was done with a bit more rigor and the references easier to access and reference.

So much to think and re think about.

This book had so much food for thought.....pun intended....I'll likely be giving it a second listen to fully absorb it all.
Even if you don't live in a larger body or have kids who do, body image issues don't discriminate. This book provides a lot of interesting research and practical recommendations to help parents make more informed decisions and guide kids thru the minefield of body image in this judgey judgey world.

Lots of research, but mostly on what doesn't help people feel comfortable in their bodies
