Really entertaining and a great way to read old Norse stories - however, the language was a little jarring at first due to Loki's voice (in first person), while fun and entertaining, didn't seem like it fit. He narrates in very modern English slang as well as using Shakespeare quotes and other terms that would not have been around in Old Norse. It would have been fine if only the narration was in this since Loki is supposedly narrating it from the present, but he also quotes himself and others as having that same way of speaking. A look at any Marvel comic or even Brom's [b:Krampus: The Yule Lord|13505670|Krampus The Yule Lord|Brom|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1360091553s/13505670.jpg|19056087] will give a better example of what I would expect from some ancient gods having a conversation amongst themselves.
Once you get past that it's worth a read especially for those who are not familiar with Old Norse stories but would like to be without having to read the Eddas. Needless to say, I would have enjoyed it a lot more if the language/dialogue was more fitting with the context/time frame.

This was a fantastic telling of Norse Mythology. I really enjoyed the way the story was written and how the characters developed and unfolded. I highly, highly recommend this read for any fan of Norse Mythology.
