I really enjoyed Loki's voice in this, and liked what Harris did with the Norse Mythology. An entertaining read.
Cleverly written, with wit and wickedly mischievous humor and a distinct voice, this book is enjoyable as an homage to Loki and the Norse gods and all the mythology wrapped around all of them.
I appreciated this book for what it was, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if it were written like an actual novel, with storytelling as opposed to a one narrator memoir.

things i liked
- loki, as a character he was so funny - usually I'm not a fan of 1st person POV but Loki's narration in this was hilarious
- the book had some more serious/kind of wise things to say as well as being hilarious
- loki being afraid of snakes, seems ironic
- the nicknames for all the gods were so funny
- i didn't realise this book charts to course up to and including Ragnarok - that was cool!
- super funny - i've said it before but it honestly was hilarious
- SUPER QUICK TO READ AND V. SHORT CHAPTERS :))))) each chapter was almost a self-contained story which made reading it super enjoyable and easy to pick up and put down
things i was meh on
- loki's relationships all felt a bit mneh and underwhelming - I felt like the author didn't quite give enough time to each person to flesh the characters out
- loki is well established in myth to be attracted to both men and women, and I felt this part of his identity was completely removed for this book which was disappointing (the fact loki didn't have one romantic/flirty interaction with a man but did with AN ACTUAL HORSE seems like a bit of an oversight)
things i didn't like
- at times i felt that some of the female characters just weren't treated quite right by the author and there was a couple of moments when I just felt a little bit bleh about it

As a Lokean , I loved this book ! From the birth of his form to the end, it was an amusing retelling of the child of flame. I feel like the ettas retold were comedic and still respectful. The audio book made me laugh, cry and sometimes just plain “WTF” . There is no black and white to any one soul and while at times the stories make you say “WoW Loki!” They also made you understand his actions and efforts to try to fit in a society were no one trusted him from jump.
Fast paced, enjoyable read, a different look at Norse mythology
Omg. This was so painfully slow and boring.
It's like trying to squeeze water from a stone.
