So so important, great book, only wish it had gone into more detail but I understand there’s only so much you can squeeze into one book. Sequel??

Someone actually attempted to take down the diet culture and pseudoscience. Well written and even better read on audible. Highly recommend for a brief summary of current myths involving diet and nutrition. From someone who actually knows about nutrition.

This book refutes a lot of BS claims about diet and food in a super accessible and informal way. I appreciated that the author explained some jargon in a handy table for us non-scientists.  If you have struggled with disordered eating or receiving unsolicited dieting or weight loss advice I highly recommend it. I'm probably a bit further along in my journey of disentangling weight and food intake from health than the intended reader of this book - nonetheless I enjoyed reading it and learnt a lot!
CW for eating disorders and weight discussion - the author discusses his own disordered eating and attempts to lose weight in quite frank detail in the first chapter of the book.
