Though it was very strange to be back in Torak and Renn's world, this sequel did not disappoint.
I do think I need to Re-read it though, as I feel my judgement is clouded with excitement.

I love these books so much. The world is so richly described and the characters are so warmly written. The storylines are really good and get you from the first page.

I adore this series and Viper's Daughter picks up perfectly from the end of Ghost Hunter, with an appropriate plot gap. I loved catching up with Wolf (and Renn & Torak) and am looking forward to the next one.

Absolutely appalling tack-on to one of, in my opinion, the best YA series ever written. The plot was contrived and uselessly complicated, the pacing was random and jarring, the characters (that we use to love) didn’t even feel like themselves, their personalities lost in strange transparent authorially-driven conflict. The magic has been lost since ghost hunter, and I wish the original series had been left well enough alone.

Just like good old times, this book was a pleasure to read and I cannot wait for the next volume to get published!

*I received a digital copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*
This was a great continuation of this series. I had thought it was finished with the sixth book, so it was a nice surprise to be able to enter into this world again. It was great to be back with these characters and the setting is one of my favourite things about this series. The characters are all well written and the plot is engaging throughout. If you enjoyed the previous books in the series, then you'll enjoy this instalment too.

I got on the bus for the first time in months with this, only to remember I get sick on busses if I read. Turns out the audiobook is read by Ian McKellen, which honestly made this an even better experience than it already was.

Pure, magical nostalgia. Loved it.

I have missed the world of wolf brother, and was so excited when a new series came out. On top of that this book actually lived up to the hype for me. Its an exciting new story but with achingly familiar characters, that explores brand new areas in the far North. I also appreciate that there's enough context and recap you could dive in here without re reading the previous series. If you loved wolf brother or want to explore the world of the stone age seriously pick this up.
