An insightful History of protectionism in classical music

The book gives an overview of the silencing of creative composers throughout history and challanges views on music that prevail today. The honesty and relevance is what make the book very much worthwhile. There are a lot of insights into composers live and their surroundings. The book never looses focus and gives a very detailed yet complete overview of the history of the protection of music. The book is however much more accessible for people that know the big names in classical music and their important works. It is a book that many poeple would benefit from reading and many have to read.
