OH MY DEAR SWEET JESUS IT'S OVER THANK GOD

Maybe it's because I marathonned these books like nobody's business, but this book was pretty fucking insufferable. It started out fine enough, but the fact that Ellie was an absolute cunt throughout the entire fucking thing, even after going through rehab, and Tyler decided to put up with all her absolutely terrible horseshit. I don't care how hot she is, how deep your connection is, you do NOT stick with the crazy fucking bitch who has literally zero redeemable qualities as a human being.

There's writing a flawed character and then there's writing a character who's so horrible, she'd be the antagonist in any other story. The only reason I finished this book was because I knew it was the final book in the Maddox Brothers spinoff series. I was honestly about to drop it like a hot coal right out of the barbecue, but then Tyler was taking Ellie home to meet his family and everyone there was so much more lovable and wonderful than literally anything else in this book--which made me just want to go back to their books, the better books--that it pushed me through to a point where I could skim until the end.

I was almost physically ill whenever I put this on, that's how awful this book was. I could have even taken some of Ellie's bullshit at a point, but it just kept going on and never got better and even though she ended up going to rehab, she learned nothing, changed nothing, and got a sweet bae out of the deal at the end. It was horrible. I hate that this was Jamie McGuire's good idea of a finale; I'm glad I'm in the middle of Something Beautiful and have A Beautiful Funeral to look forward to so this atrocity isn't the last thing I read when it comes to this set of books.

Fuck this book. Fuck it. Oh my god. I feel like I need to take a shower to wash off the horrible feeling it left on me. It's the worst. Jesus Christ.

I was so close yo DNFing this book. I actually put the book down to stop reading it. I'm really glad that I didn't. I never was a huge fan of the heroine, but the hero more then made up for it. I fell in love with Tyler, and I'm so happy I was able to finish his journey with him.

Tyler is now my favorite of the Maddox brothers. This story tackles love, addiction, suspense, and still somehow musters up the beauty of a Jamie McGuire novel.
I loved this book. Every last word of it.

I Love the Maddox brothers! Tyler reminds me a lot of Travis. He is light hearted and loves fiercely!! In this book we meet Ellie, she sees Tyler only as a one night stand, she does not let people get close. Tyler feels the same way but they both feel the electricity between them during that one night. Tyler insists they be friends the next day and she just acts like a mean bitch towards him every time they meet. Ellie is from a very rich, well known family and they have had enough with her wild, partying ways and have cut her off. Ellie finds a job and keeps running into Tyler....even though she is not the nicest he breaks her down and she lets him in. I love this story . I love seeing Ellie find out who she really is and learns to take care of herself and not her family. Grab this if you love the Maddox brothers!

The Maddox Brothers series has to be the best on going series I have read in a while. I have fallen in love with every character to come into these books. Tyler and Ellie are no different. I love Ellie’s backstory and how true and raw her feelings were. I know I have seen mixed reviews on it, but honestly I really liked how the alcoholism was talked about and shown, it was a true voicing of how a person is through addiction. I love that in each book, it isn’t just them that’s talked about, but the whole family as well.
Tyler was a great book boyfriend, he handled her delicately but pushed her when it was needed.
As always I love the ending, they are never too rushed or too slow. Perfect amount of spice, and full of feelings. I can’t wait to read the next in the series. ❤️
