One of the best leadership books I’ve read! So excited to practice what I’ve learned from Brene

Informative audiobook - my first Brene Brown book. There are definitely some wise nuggets in this book but will say not 100% will apply to every reader. This book has helped me to shape my leadership skills in my current position, which needs to continuously develop.

I hate to be THAT PERSON or to think that I am potentially cold and unfeeling but this book really didn't do much for me. And I had heard so many good things about it. I'll lean in and say that perhaps the messages are just not intended for me right now because I could barely connect to the material. I don't think they describe my current work situation or my leadership concerns. Maybe 10 or 15 years ago, but not now. I also do not connect with Brown's writing style, which I found to be scattered and filled with broad generalizations.
ANYWAY, I don't want to knock it completely because I know people who swear by Brene Brown. I'm just not one of them.

I finished this book along with completing the Dare To Lead class trainings. Together, they are an amazing journey into self-relection. Just reading the book though is a bit different.
