I absolutely loved ´Legendary´! I didn´t particulary like Donatella in 'Caraval´, but found myself growing fond of her throughout  this story.

The introduction of the Fates was such a brilliant addition to the storyline. It expanded the world in a magical and mysterious way that made the story feel even bigger, and more high-stakes, than before.

The new “Game” kept me hooked from the very beginning, with layer upon layer of mysteries to be solved. And once again, as in book 1, I was never really sure if anything was real... Even after finishing the book, I find myself still doubting certain revelations.

And of course, the romance was *chef´s kiss*. It was smoldering, but also cute and yet, at the same time, dangerous. At every turn, you doubt the MMC´s motives. Was he even the MMC?

Anyway, I clearly need to dive into Finale. So many questions remain unanswered, and I’m eager to see how everything comes together in the conclusion of this incredible series.

Everyone was on my doubt list in this book, the entire way through. No one was safe!! 😂

Honestly the evolution of the plot was so good, I enjoyed this was a darker turn on the story. To start with I was worried it would be too repetitive but it actually was very different to Caravel. As we already knew most of the main & side characters it was fun to build out the characters more in this book.

Tella was enjoyable to read, definitely bolder than Scarlett which personally was better.

I’m so in love with the setting and imagery in these books 🥰

Our memories weight us more down than we think….

I liked the version of Tella in this book more than Scarlett’s one, but I didn’t like Jacks…. He wasn’t even the main character in this book it was Legend or Dante all the time! I think Legend is selfish because he left Tella like that… 😫

This was a solid sequel to Caraval, I’d say. It has the same great sense of intrigue and mystery to it, and honestly I think I liked it better in some cases. I’m not sure how I feel about them switching from “it’s all a game” to “oh but not this one”, though. There was also a lot of information dumped on you in the beginning of the book that I’m not sure why it wasn’t mentioned in the first. I like the expanding of the lore and whatnot, but it’s hard for it not to feel shoehorned in when it was never brought up in passing before. But overall I did like it and I liked the development of Tella as a character and her relationship with Dante.
