This is an essential book for Pratchett scholars and completionists. Casual Discworld fans are more likely to be disappointed than enthralled. This collection gathers short stories Terry wrote while working for newspapers in his late teens and 20s. There are proto-Discworld moments and flashes of the genius to come. Otherwise it’s a collection of pleasant and not particularly memorable short stories.

Enjoyed this collection of short stories published after Pratchett's death. Most of them were quick scenes, many of which show up as longer and more developed stories in other works. The variety of narrators on the audiobook was a great way to hear these stories.
