A wonderful collection of Pratchett's early work, reccently rediscovered. You can see some the early ideas that he would reuse in the Discworld novels. Each story, while brief and lacking some of the wit of his later work, was such fun to read through and the story of how these were rediscovered was also very interesting. The Christmas themed ones will be great quick reread during the festive period.

I've been a fan of Terry Pratchett for a long time, so it was interesting to read some of his earliest work, published under a pseudonym in the 1970s and 80s. As literary history, this book was great, but the stories really don't stand well on their own--they're humorous but mostly forgettable.
