“Twist” was pretty obvious from like halfway through, and characters were all pretty one dimensional and boring. Interesting plot, cool setting, and enjoyable writing style.

Great ghost ship story

I'm going with 4 stars because it felt a bit long. It's a great haunted ship in space story with a twist, that I really did enjoy. Highly recommend for fans of haunted space ship horror. At first I was thinking Event Horizon crossed with Ghost Ship but then it all changed. Well written and fast paced.

Took a bit to start up, was different than I’d thought it be but not terrible

I love this book! I keep recommending it to my friends- the suspense is so real, the characters have depth. I wasn't too sure whether this would be a zombie or ghosts book going in, and the reality of it did not disappoint!

So disappointing :(

I had a hard time getting into this because I almost immediately found Claire to be annoying. She always second guest herself and her constant head fight about a personal relationship with Kane became repetative/ cliche.

I did end up loving the mysterious dark and morbid atmosphere of the story though and I am glad I continued.

There were moments of great mystery, wonderfully written suspense and solid character development.

There were also moments when the dread played out perfectly and I too was left trying to figure out if they were seeing ghosts or something real.

Definitely one of my new favorite books. I’m not normally a fan of sci-fi and space scares me, but I guess that’s the point of horror. This book had an interesting enough premise that I was like cool, let’s go, I can do it. And I don’t regret it. The characters were a big factor, I was rooting for Claire the entire time, and I was emotionally invested. I really liked each and every member of the crew in their own way (Voeller considerably less so but we always need a source of tension in a story like this).

The betrayal that happens felt like it was happening to me, I was genuinely angry and felt the same way Claire did. It took me a bit to finally get the ball rolling but once I did I couldn't stop reading it, I had to know what happened, if anyone survived, and what the end would look like!
