4 stars for story! pacing issues and the main character dragged it down :(
I definitely didn't see that ending coming. This was a really solid sci-fi book with a unique plot, lots of twists, multiple POV's, some unreliable narrators, and all that good stuff wrapped up in a neat bow. I listened to the audiobook version and while it wasn't a full cast, it was still a great listen. I only recently started dipping my toes in the water when it comes to space sci-fi themed books but they are really growing on me. Would definitely recommend checking this one out!
This gets a like it. Found the story pretty driving and was in on some of the core elements that resonated in things I like in SCI-FI. The horror element I would say is oversold.
The book overall follows a plot line that is super similar to a favorite fallout 3 quest-line which is why I was pretty engaged. The twisty was washed early though due to having that thought throughout the story.
People hated the romance but I'm a fan. Who doesn't love some loveee in the throes of space disaster.
Really wish we could have seen a little more of the other characters as they seemed pretty rad.

Space, spooky mystery, high tension - check check and check. This book was perfect and exactly up my alley and will end up on my list of re-readable ones. The characters were well written and developed just right, even the ones you hate. The story and it's secrets unravel at a pace that doesn't feel rush or over the top, making you question everything until it all comes to a head. I absolutely loved this, and it's quickly becoming my favorite book I've read this year.
