I didn’t love this book, I felt like when i was reading it it was never going to end. Also, Poorna Bell really likes the word ‘exasperated’ in her writing.. it was used A LOT.

The main character, Bel, is a 36 year old woman working in an exec job in London, however the way her character was written portrayed her almost as a child and I didn’t find it very realistic. Although, what I did like about her character was how she developed and grew throughout the book, and I particularly enjoyed the ending where Bel had managed to move on with her life after making amends with some childhood friends she had fallen out with, as well as growing closer to her sister.

I struggled to finish the book but persevered, it wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t the worst book I’ve read.
