Something about the way these two characters just spoke to one another put me off

Quick read, very cute!  Something that was unexpected, but welcome, was that there was attention paid to potential health concerns (sexual and overall health), given that Griffin was from the 1400s. Very practical and responsible (and very realistic, given the times we live in and how different they are from Griffin's). Started a little slow for me but definitely picked up speed and I was happy with the ending. I liked it overall, would read this author again!

Literally spent one session reading it and after 40ish pages, the idea just felt too…unbelievable. It really was just a little silly for me. I’m all for a good romance but this dove right into p*rn with some plot and the writing felt like fanfiction.

What a delightful book that was not quite any other romcom I’ve read. This is one of those books that you really have to suspend belief in order to enjoy because it is pretty farfetched, but once you do it is delightful. This book is so silly, and because of that I think it really had me enjoying it so much more. I read this one when I was having a bad day and needed something light, and it certainly delivered. There is quite a bit of spice, and I enjoyed how it was done. I loved how the romance unfolded because it felt like it did so at a natural progression of their relationship. The banter between them is also The old-world charm of Griffin is also great, and I really appreciated the author’s note at the end of the book explaining things a bit more. Author’s notes are always so much fun and give a glimpse into the author’s process sometimes and that was the case here.

Thank you to @berkleyromance the author @bryndonovanauthor and @netgalley for this e-arc. All thoughts are my own.

Thank you so much to Berkley Publishing Group and NetGalley for the ARC!

If you're looking for a mix between Night at the Museum and Thor, this is the book for you.

Oh my, when I tell y'all that I loved this so much! The title drew me in but then I read the synopsis and I was even more intrigued. Then I started reading and I couldn't put the book down. I am so obsessed with Griffin. He is the embodiment of "chivalry isn't dead." I fell in love with him right alongside Emily. With his beautiful words, the long hair, and a face that looks like it was carved from stone (HA), how could you not love Griffin. I also loved how realistic this book is, minus the statue coming to life part of course. I really understood Emily and Griffin and their struggles and anxieties. I loved watching them struggle together. I loved watching them fall in love and learn to trust another person again. These characters felt very real and I was rooting for them the whole time. What a joy this book is. I absolutely adored it. Y'all, if you're looking for a book where the man literally worships the ground his girl walks on, pick this one up.
