A fun romp
“I don’t want to get too involved”
“It’s a little late for that, since you brought him to life!”
“That’s just it! He thinks he’s into me, but he’s just, like, imprinted on me.” Rose’s face screwed up in skepticism. “He’s a man- not a baby duck!”
This was silly cutesy and fantastical but lovely, and just enough Outlanderish. It definitely was like a nerdy museum girl fantasy which was so creative and I loved the premise.
“He barreled down the stairs clanking. Oh God- what if he tripped and fell? It has been so long since he moved.”
Grew a bit tiresome about half way through and was going to DNF when I started thinking “Is it bad that I wanted him to turn back into a statue?” But then I had a fever and finished it in bed in 1 sitting. It was cute/cutesy. Might be good if you are in a cynical mood. Also made me want to go to a museum. Also great to read on a trip to Chicago.
“He was resplendent, joyous, and a museum conservator’s worse nightmare”

It’s basically the Netflix movie Hot Frosty, equally cringe. I don’t know why I borrowed this one night, but I did, and here it sits in my read books.

This was cute, sweet and funny. I love MMCs that absolutely worship the FMC.
