Fun story, some well written magic and descriptions, and a good reveal at the end! I had so issues with some of the comments made about people but all in all a silly, light-hearted book.

Moderate fatphobia and some… very of their times representations of the kind of setting the main character is from. But it’s great to see howl and all the other characters featured in HMC again

I think I would have enjoyed this book as a kid. As an adult, I felt annoyed by a lot of the characters. It did still have a bit of whimsy though.

While it's true that the sequel isn't nearly as marvelous as Howl's Moving Castle, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. DWJ entwined all the characters together beautifully without leaving anyone behind.
