Soooooo good!!
It was hard to put down but considering it’s over 1,900 pages I had to. It kept me hanging on every page! Very dark, full of triggers if you have them but if not definitely read this if dark, spicy romance is one of your things!

I don’t think I can put into words just how much this series/collection has affected me but I will try.
I went into this blind just like I always do but this book was highly recommended by a good friend as she knows I love dark read and boy is this dark!
My first love genre wise is horror, I’ve been reading it since I was 13 and I’ve read some seriously graphic things so I rarely find things that make me uncomfortable when reading but I can safely say that there were moments in this book that I found hard to read and yet I couldn’t put it down and the characters especially Anna really found a place in my heart and mind to the point that I found myself lying awake at night worrying about Anna and what would happen next.
I have recorded my heart rate spiking at 124 beats per minutes (who needs exercise lol), my hands have shook so much that I had to put my kindle down, I have smiled so much my cheeks hurt, I have sobbed my heart out on a couple of occasions and I have been genuinely terrified as I read what Anna has to go through. Honestly I have felt so many emotions I am drained but I would go back and read it again if I could as the writing and the way the story builds is truly superb.
The bad guy (for want of a better word), Devin is quite frankly the most depraved, evil, horrible book character ever. I have never, ever hated a character as much as I hated him, at one point I raved about wanting to cut his heart out with a blunt rusty spoon but even that would have been too kind for him!
Then there’s Alex... *dreamy swoony moment* got to be honest I love him so very much and he is officially in my top five book boyfriends ever. There were moments when I cursed him, swooned over him, smiled so flipping huge because of him, cried out in sheer horror because of him quickly followed by my tears. I can’t tell you why as that would ruin the story for you.
There are so many fabulous characters that you either love or hate but all are well thought out and needed to help the story progress.
Anna and her story will creep into you heart and steal it completely, providing you are brave enough to travel her journey with her and it is totally not an easy journey. I can’t express enough how much you should read the synopsis and the warnings, going in blind is fine if you are like me and like your dark reads pitch black but I really don’t recommend reading without checking out the warnings as like I said it is not an easy read.
I will say this to close my review, Marissa Honeycutt has gone from being a new author to me to one that I will forever be a massive fan of. Honestly don’t think I will ever get over just how wonderful this story is and how much Anna touched my heart.

I honestly don't know how to write this review. I knew this was labeled as a dark romance, but I didn't realize how much it would crossover into the pitch black genre. There are disturbing and violent scenes, and there are scenes that depict a beautiful love. The concept of Anna and Devin and the world within the book is hard and yet not hard to grasp; makes you think and hope it couldn't become a reality. All of the books in this series might not want to be read all at once though; i swear it messed with my sleep and my mood and the way I reacted to certain things! Take this with a grain of salt, but make sure you read a really fluffy and ooey gooey romance in between each of these books!!!

Although there were many good parts to this book, they were far outweighed by the problems with the characters and plot points I couldn't get my head around.
If you want to read it go ahead. I am just going to say that the heroine does not get better. If you like how she is, then enjoy the feast of horrors that is heaped upon her.
I just wished with all my might that the heroine would lose her 2014 New Adult Billionaire Romance heroine attitude and just grow a brain. TSTL is being nice.
