This was such a cute cozy mystery! I was quite surprised by the resolution, but I loved guessing all the way through the book until it left me with my jaw on the ground! I’ll probably return to this author for the rest of the series in future!

A lightweight, but fun cozy mystery.

DID NOT FINISH: 40%

I could not finish this book because the main character is too much of a doormat. I was willing to wait for some character development, but even at chapter 12 Gemma is too meek to even tell the police what she's found.

It's a shame, this story does have nice small-town-mystery vibes. But Gemma is too unlikable.

This was gym reading for me, which is why it took so long to read. It was a cute little story, but nothing fabulous. I always had the impression that Oxford was a school for intellectuals. But one person in this story didn't strike me as very smart in the least. I'm being vague as not to spoil anything. I might read another if I find it at a good price. Eh.
