Silent Night

This is the Christmas novella my dark romance loving self needed this year. I really enjoyed how this one played out. It flew by because I didn't want to stop. Definitely check this out if you like stalker vibes, but not overly dangerous. Morally gray, but ultimately a sweetheart.

I really question if all of the people on booktok recommending this book actually read it. No part of this book made me happy. It was just meh all around.

Definitely a cringy holiday spice read but also not the worst I’ve read

Saint is kind of like the Grinch. As a former foster child turned transient, he has grown to hate Christmas and all the greed that seems to consume people during the holiday season so he breaks into the wealthy people’s homes and steals valuables to sell and get by. He watches one family leave during a dramatic event one Christmas and breaks in to steal what he can but is caught by their teenage daughter, Hayley. She figures out what he’s doing, realizes her parents won’t miss anything, and sends him on his way with an expensive artifact. Years later, their paths collide again and neither has been able to forget the other. This dark romance novella was quick and spicy with a sweet ending.

🖤 dark Christmas novella
😛 obsessed stalker MMC
✨️ rich girl/poor guy

Last Christmas, Saint went to steal🎶
But one of the residents, Hayley, she came right back home🎶
She let him take something sp he could pay for living expenses 🎶
This year, 🎶 (four years later) he comes to steal 🎶 But he meet Hayley aaaggaaiinnn 🎶

Fate's pretty funny to let them meet each other twice over the course of 4(?) Years 🤭 different house too! I loved seeing the progression of Saint's obsession with Hayley grow even in a short book like this. He starts off detesting greed, but it comes full circle.

The book was entertaining, spicy, and surprisingly very sweet. Saint is a cutie pie. He may lovingly lurk in the shadows and be a little possessive, but he truly means no harm to Hayley. He literally cannot imagine hurting the woman he's so obsessed with.

The ending was also super sweet too with the future they have to look forward together and Saint trying so hard 🥺
