It was nice to revisit the Harry Potter universe and read these fairy tales from the wizarding world. The Tales of Beedle the Bard left me craving more from Rowling. I am anxious to see what her next project will be.

Fun. Silly. I don't regret the 30 or so minutes I spent on it because I'm a completist and a couple of the commentary/notes bits were delightful, but overall it's entirely skippable.

I was very bored with this book. It's rather unfortunate because I LOVE HP. but I do not care for this book. I won't recommend it. I don't even think I will ever acknowledge I have read this book ever again.

I have to say that four of the five stories were simple, almost Grimms-like in nature. But the story of the Hairy Heart was a bit disturbing, totally caught me off-guard. At times, the insertion of Dumbledore's notes were helpful in adding that extra context to the stories, but some notes were a bit intrusive and long-winded. Overall, a quick read for HP fans.
