 Book Review: Love You to Death by Christina Dotson 

Take a wild ride on this Black Thelma and Louise-style journey. 

This was a solid palette cleanser for me. It did get a bit repetitive with the nuances of the two main characters and probably could have been a little shorter. But if you love messy, complicated, and utterly unhinged women who make bad decisions… this is your book. I had to keep reading to see what happened, and the writing itself was strong.

if you love messy, complicated and unhinged women who make bad decisions… then this is the book for you!

this book was a wild ride and left me with my jaw slack multiple times. that said, it was a nice palette cleanser to read while getting through some heavier books.

i personally knocked some stars off just because of the predictably and the repetitiveness throughout the book about the relationship between the two main characters (albeit a VERY complex relationship for them both).

otherwise, this was a nice, fast-paced, digestible thriller to get your teeth into from Christina Dotson.

I couldnt find myself caring about what happened to either character. It was just two irresponsible women who repeatedly made horrible choices, weren’t good friends to each other, wildly unhinged, no accountability and I had no desire to root for either one of them or find out How their story ended. I had high hopes for this book tho I’m sad I didn’t like it.

I couldn’t put this down and needed to find out what crazy thing they were going to do next. What a thrilling debut novel by Christina Dotson.
