I think if I could have done I'd have given it three and a half stars. The first book [b:The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo|2732977|The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1)|Stieg Larsson|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1302128966s/2732977.jpg|1708725] started really slowly and built to a unstoppable crescendo. Whereas this book I thought started really well, faded a bit in the middle where it lost momentum and then ended well. I will read the final book at some point but I wasn't as impressed with this book as with the first for some reason. I still recommend though.
Had quite a gap since the Dragon Tattoo, so found this refreshing. And then couldn't wait to start the 3rd one, so that's a good sign. :)
Excellent. This series really draws you into the characters lives. The writing is straightforward but the story is captivating. It feels very real and it's easy to imagine the scenes visually even though the author doesn't over-describe things. He changes the narrative perspective which cleverly keeps the reader from knowing everything that's going on until the very end - it really keeps you guessing, even if you might figure parts of it out before they are revealed. The subject/content is not normally something I look for in a book, but I love it anyways.
Great read, loved the twists and turns! Also love the way we don’t hear from certain characters for a while to build suspense.
One qualm was with the references to Fermat- cool stuff but didn’t feel very related to the plot nor did it wrap up nicely?

Wow! Liked this one so much more than the first one. However, cliff-hanger ending not so nice. Well, since I don't have the third book yet, maybe I'll get something done around my house!
Lisbeth Salander is BAD ASS.
The second instalment of the Millennium series was even better than the first.
Lisbeth, can we be friends?
On second thought, maybe not, you're kinda dangerous 😂

A lot of people say this second book is better than the first one, and I have to admit it kept me more enthralled. Lots of action, up until the very end. Stieg Larssen, I don't know how you do it.
Finally! Ohmygosh I can't wait to read the last book! It took me longer than expected to finish this book. I wasn't into the story at first but the plot quickly picked up after halfway through. This series seems to never fail me when it comes to the mystery/action/suspense.
My Thoughts:
1. I felt that there was alot of unnecessary writing in the beginning like Lisbeth's vacation, Berger's private life etc.. I could have done without those, they seemed to drag the plot on rather than add to it
2. Is it me or is there a trend with ending the first and second book with a dramatic gun/fight/confrontation scene? Hmmm..
3. It's probably because I'm not Swedish but I cannot for the life of me keep up with the character's names, aside from the main characters, it's because they all sound so similar! I found myself on more than one occasion confusing one character for another.
