A very satisfying follow up to the series. As ever brilliant writing from faith. I enjoyed this more than number 2, the pacing felt more rapid and the main battle scene was so engrossing

I figured I would take advantage of my Audible plus membership and finish this post apocalyptic trilogy that is currently “free” for those with a subscription.

Just know that this is still dense in the technology details, full of alien weapons, nanobot craziness, and where the US power structure is built on a tenuous peace between the military and various motorcycle clubs scattered throughout the nation.

Smack dab in the middle is Shining, who absolutely would prefer to continue her reclusive ways and not draw any attention to herself. However, her own personal morals won’t allow an evil nanobot infected “queen” to take over the world, so it’s up to her, her ragtag crew of friends, a sassy AI, and an irresistible 2nd in command made man for one of the top MC clubs in the nation to get the job done. Oh and don’t forget she has a quasi sentient cat army to weigh the odds in her favor.

Overall, a satisfying conclusion showcasing a sassy strong heroine who knows how to kick ass!

Loved it!! This seems like the last book in Shining's journey but what a way to end! I loved the action, dry humour, as well as Shining's found family and the cats! - Can't forget the cats! This was perfect example of post-apocalyptic science fiction.

A bit of a disappointment compared to the previous two books in the series.

I lhave really loved this trilogy - there just aren’t enough books that feature cats as heroes. What I liked about this series was the mental connection between the protagonist, Shining, and the cats, the way Shining is so strong and sassy while struggling to hide her vulnerability, and the descriptions of the post-apocalyptic world and its extraordinary weapons. The clever, resourceful warrior heroine reminded me of Hail in the Indranan trilogy by KB Wagers.

What I wasn’t as fond of in this specific book is Shining’s insulting treatment of her love interest and the unrealistically happy ending. Everyone wants a happy ending but it’s also important for it to fit into the reality of the story.

That said, I definitely recommend the series - it’s violent but also fun, like an action thriller movie.
