This is an incredibly intricate world and it is fascinating. It did take me a while to get through this one but i probably will listen to the next one. This contains a lot of murder and brutality just be aware.

'The Missing of Clairdelune' by Christelle Dabos is the second installment in the Mirror Visitor quartet. It does a great job of progressing Ophelia's understanding of the world she has been brought to as well as her relationship with Thorn.
This book centers around mysterious disappearances and who is behind them. I found that having the mystery at the center was a great way to focus the book while the overarching plotline of the quartet also progressed in the background.
We get some really important information in this book and I think it goes a long way toward making the world feel more real. In the first book, I felt much like Ophelia, thrown into a complex and often confusing world. Though this did a great job of making me connect with Ophelia as a character, I did prefer this book because Dabos' world is finally becoming more clear.
I am even more excited to continue on to the next installment and learn more about the world. The character work in this book was great and I hope this continues to be a focus in the next book.

Most of the book is medium paced, however I have found that every book in this series gets much faster paced near the end.
