These 2 girls moms are best friends so they’ve always been in each others lives for the ups and downs mainly downs. Their moms can’t support their daughters so they have to team up to take care of them. Really about the stress put on kids when their parents can’t parent anymore.

This book was not what I expected. It was definitely heavier than I thought it would be but I found that I really enjoyed how it developed and was mostly satisfied with the ending. Overall a good read but be prepared for it to be sad and heavy at times.

Maybe I listened to this audiobook on too fast of a speed (I only had a day left on my library loan when I started lol), but I found it hard to distinguish between the characters in dialogue, especially during the texting scenes. This probably wouldn't have been an issue if I'd read the physical book, but yeah I kept having to rewind because I couldn't tell who was saying what. Aside from that, the book was fine. Sharpe has a literary diction that adds a bit of flavor to a very conventional genre.
