Not invested. This feels like guy lit. Already a few hours in and have only met FMC in flashbacks. The story is going to slow and I don’t feel like continuing.

This is a perfect mix of contemporary fiction and romance, and I loved the man's POV. As someone who reads primarily romance written by women, from women's POVs it felt fresh. I enjoyed Colton's journey overcoming addiction and self-sabotage and particularly loved that this book featured meaningful friendships with other men and his openness with regard to emotions/feelings.

Certainly not the best Zentner, but still a great book.
I didn’t get how he was a great football player, a great musician and a great chef (and why a famous chef would pick someone completely inexperienced as their sous?) but suspend disbelief and have some fun. It was a really fun romance to read.
