I would rate it somewhere between 2 and 3 ⭐️

Not sure how I feel about the story itself but listening to Chika’s voice in the audiobook was very sweet.

I loved this book so much. Tells the story of how a man who comes to Haiti to help after the earthquake in 2010 ends up in charge of an orphanage and doing everything in his power to help a little girl who is very sick. It was so emotional as an adoptive parent of a boy from Haiti.

What a beautiful tribute to Chika! This story is so honest and touching. It broke my heart. Thank you Mitch and Jeanine for sharing Chika with us. And thank you for the work you do in Haiti. You are a gift to those children.

Albom just writes so beautifully I'd read anything he writes and this was no exception.
