Mitch Albom is such an amazing writer. His ability to convey such a sad story in such a beautiful manner was captivating. He made the sadness incredibly gorgeous and touching.
When a child is diagnosed, treated, and ultimately dies of cancer, there is a heightened sadness for the life that is cut short. What could have, should have, been. Young Chika endured so much in her young life but did so with positivity and grit that is so often lost into adulthood. Chika was such a lovable young girl.
I recommend the audiobook as Mitch reads his story. I think his delivery adds to the experience.
