This series was absolutely epic, and the ending was phenomenal. Left nothing to be desired, although now I have a deep gash in my heart where this story once lived. Might have to purchase the set so I can reread it again and again. This story was just absolute perfection.

I enjoyed this trilogy more and more as I worked through it, and for me, the third installment was the perfect epic tale to conclude Vasya’s story. For a world and narrative as vast as the author created, I only wish we could have seen more of other characters’ perspectives in the buildup to the final battle. Fans of Leigh Bardugo who just want a bit more horse girl vibes will love this series!
