I really enjoyed this sequel.  I loved how it was different from the last one. I like the different approach to this second book. The characters were fantasticly done well. This book was well written.  The storyline was a masterpiece.  I can't wait for the next.

Ok but not as good as the first one in my opinion. The story wasn’t as intriguing and the writing was not great (a bit repetitive and unrealistic at times).
For example, Millie’s reasoning for not getting back with Enzo and trying to make it sound like he abandoned her (when in fact he was supporting his sick mother) was really annoying. Also, I thought Wendy’s character was poorly written, at least in part two and forward, when we got to see her perspective. I get that she is supposed to be a highly unlikable character which is fine, but it just wasn’t written well.

A little too predictable for me (especially for Freida McFadden). There was a good twist that got me but I could figure out the ending earlier than I’d liked.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- phenomenal. highly recommend to all

When my friend told me that this book was better than the first one, I had a really tough time believing her. After finishing it, I will say she was totally right! This book was incredible, and had a couple of twists that I wasn't expecting whatsoever.

At first, the story felt like a little bit of a repeat from the first book, but then midway through I realized that this was an entirely different plot. The character development was gripping, the writing was solid, and the story was really fun to read through. I can't wait for the third book in the series to come out in June! Highly recommend this series.

I am SO glad that Millie ended up going back to Enzo and staying broken up with Brock. I can appreciate that the author wanted us to recognize that the "perfect" guy may not be perfect for us. I'm really hoping that Millie and Enzo stay together in the third book and solve crimes together! I'm also curious to see if the police officer from the end of this book makes another appearance in the third book.

The first book was better and made more sense to me. I did predict some of the twists due to
chekhov’s gun.
I’m so glad we got to see Millie happy and with some good people in her life, even if her jobs can be dangerous. Ultimately a bittersweet ending all around but happy for Millie. I’m curious to read the next book in the series when it comes out to see if it follows the same formula. I feel like this book was more predictable than the first for me, although I’ll say I’m not usually a thriller reader so maybe they’re all like that. I probably won’t reread because the fun of thrillers are the plot twists.
