Definition of Rivals to Lovers in all the best ways
I have a friend who knows who she is that I have to thank for her forcing me to read this by yelling at me over and over again.
I adored Scott and Kip’s story, but Ilya and Shane’s long standing rivalry in public and hookups in private left me feeling all gooey and in love with this world. I love the boys and wanted to give both of them big hugs.
I loved that this story is told in parts and that there’s time skips because it allows the reader to focus in on the development that each of them go through both in relation to their relationship with each other and with hockey.
Highly recommend if you love the rivals to lovers trope and are in your hockey era.

This book was almost more beautiful the second time around. I could truly appreciate how meaningful it was to have a view into all the different years this story took place.
Seeing Ilya fall in love was one of the most precious things ever. It didn’t matter that I had read this before, I was still so excited and giddy when they confessed their feelings to each other
