Short and sweet; if this was full length I could see myself really loving it.

I’m writing this review after my 2nd read of this book. My most recent read was of the re-released version.

I don’t think the book changed, but I found that I enjoyed this one more than I thought I had. I changed this from three stars to four. I will chalk it up to the fact that I’ve read way more novellas recently and this one is just far better than many.

This is a sweet, cute story of two ex-best friends, Dylan and Chris.

I loved Dylan immediately. It took me longer to come around to Chris. The book goes into their past, and while both made mistakes, their friendship essentially ending was put into motion by Chris’ actions. In the end, though Chris won me over.

I love the little world Anyta Sunday created here. The camp background worked perfectly for the story.

If you’re looking for a quick read that still delivers on all of the feels and with a nice dose of steam, look no further. This is your book.

Ugh, I'm sad. The setup was so cute.

This was just too rushed, the chapters were way to short for how much was happening, especially the first few pages and the two main characters were indistinguishable.
I needed less of all the external factors and someone to properly explain their backstory.

This was just a really well written story about friends to almost lovers to enemies to lovers again. Encompassing their past within the story of their present in some very clever ways so that at the end I felt I had a full picture of these two men's history. That's just not easy to do in 20,000 words, but Anyta just seemed to make it look very easy indeed. The mark of real skill.
I have to mention the Mountain Dew. I too do not advocate "pop" for my children, since it is so very bad for the teeth, however, reading this reminded me that, when I was younger I did guzzle quite a bit and mostly it was Mountain Dew. I can't stand the stuff now. I'm sure Dylan and Chris only drink it because of the memories it holds for them.
I'll be keeping this one to reread because, well, I did kind of lose count of those kisses. Maybe that was the whole idea though ;)

Gonna start by saying I love, love, love Anyta Sunday's writing. She creates such brilliant characters within touching stories which flow beautifully from start to end.

But this, sadly, just hit far short of the mark for me. A sweet and enjoyable read though it was, it felt lacking in a certain something.

Enemies to flashback friends to . . . ? The theory that this book is named after is pretty silly, but because it's the theory of a teenaged boy, it gets a pass. Basically, this book is the slow crumbling of a stalemate, and quite well done. Believable miscommunication, not too frustrating.
