Uhm, that ending should absolutely be illegal! Honestly might be in a little bit of a book hangover because I can't stop thinking about how this book wrapped up. I'm not sure if I can wait until September for the next book because what a situation to be in!

Dark Poison is my first read by Bella Jewel and what an addicting read this turned out to be. There's definitely a lot to unpack in this and I kind of went in a little blind. In this, we have a dark romance with the captive trope. The enemies to lovers in this were fantastic, but the angst with trying to figure out their feelings was immaculate. And don't even get me started on all the suspense. I truly enjoyed this one.

Willow and Jagger are quite dynamic, I don't think he quite expected what he got when it came to Willow. She's a fighter through and through and has really been through so much. I loved her resilience. And with Jagger, he's definitely an anti-hero, but ate up all those moments when we got those glimpses of how much he actually cared for Willow.

I did not expect the ending we got and I'm absolutely broken over it, but I have a theory or two. It's such a tough situation to be in, but if it were me, I'd run and never look back.

I really thought this would be standalone within a series and am a little bummed we're not close to the end. It definitely leaves a lot of room for more stuff to go down, not sure how I feel about that. I'm invested and will be biding my time until September!
