Yokohama Kaidashi follows Alpha's everyday life, she's a robot and it seems like Japanese countryside. There isn't much told about the kind of world they are in.

It's really cozy and nothing too exciting happens. I do find it a nice and cozy read, each chapter is just another day in the life in alpha.

The art was cute and I really liked the characters. It was a nice cozy read that doesn't require much investment.

I saw a review on pinterest of all places raving about this manga and then easily found a pdf online so I read it yesterday evening. The art style reminds me of this one coloring book I had as a kid that I really really loved, also the characters are so kind to each other it really does give a sense of hope and calm.
Baby's first manga!

An optimistic view of a potential future. Full of beautiful art, charecters, relationships and a splash of coffee.

This was my favorite manga as a teenager, and as an adult, I appreciate it in a new way. Between global warming and the prominence of fascism, the world is a scary place right now. But Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou is a lighthearted reminder to enjoy the moment, even though it’s set in a deteriorating post-apocalyptic world.
