Right, when I started it... My initial thought was "it insists upon itself", like that scene in family guy when Peter talks about the godfather. But I think by about page 20 I couldn't put it down. It was very upsetting to see myself if Regan, because she was a mess and so was I, and maybe I would've ended up very different if it weren't for the help I got. It was hurtful to see my own thoughts stare at me black on white and recognise my own patterns.
I know the book claimed to be a romance, but I just couldn't believe it wasn't a tragedy based on the tone and the experimental narration. I did thoroughly enjoy it, however

This was such a unique book with such unique characters and such a real look at mental health and relationships. Regan and Aldo were two perfectly imperfect humans and I loved them. Who knew that six conversations could change somebody’s life? I started and stopped this book a few times over the last year and I’m so glad I did because this was the right time for me to read this book. I did enjoy it and it was definitely special, but it was t necessarily quick or easy. This one took some brain power on my end and it was well worth it. Absolutely adored the Chicago setting as a fellow Chicago girlie. Truly it just made the book so much more special. The narration was amazing since it was full cast and I think that is a big part of why I liked this so much.

took me 4 months to finish this due to my own personal reasons. but so worth it. i want to have these words imprinted in my soul. absolutely breathtaking. also, this one is special because its my 250th book
