I held off on reading this book because… I didn’t want the Three-Body Problem saga to end

A clever extension of Three Body Triology.

Rich debate about following mysteries of life and creation of the universe:

How the universes end and are reborn?
Logic for the continual collapsing of dimensions from physical to Quantum Realm.
Interpretation of how Zero and Infinity are same.
Concept about Birth of Time.
How time and death are related.
How perfection may not be such a good thing after all.

Big ideas. Bold exposition. A truly thought provoking and intriguing read.

Fan fiction which the original author embraced. It's an interesting fan driven dive into some of the unanswered questions from the original story  building upon the world and filling in gaps. Good for those who finished the series and wanted more.

An interesting addition to Cixin's Three Body Problem trilogy, it explores the story of the universe as a whole and the life within it. The exploration of ideas in the universe are welcome, but it does detract from the mysteries inherent in the original trilogy - that mystery is what made Cixin's works so spectacular.

As a whole the book has some weaker plot points and slightly weaker writing, but did plenty to capture and keep my interest from Cixin's works. Not a must-read as part of the Three-Body-Problem trilogy, but if you loved Cixin's works then Baoshu's addition is certainly welcomed by me.
