Fredrick Backman yet again finds a way to tell a beautiful, gut-wrenching story.
With this book being as short as it is I had no idea how much I would fall in love with Noah Noah & Grandpa. This story ends perfectly without needing anymore said. Watching a loved one lose themselves to their mind is heartbreaking and this novella captures that raw feeling with an almost happy ending. Grab the tissues and settle in, this book will wreck you and leave you with the best lessons.

THIS BOOK!!! I have way to many words I could say about this book and they would be coming to you out of breath and through a wall of tears. This novella for me is a modern classic that deserves to be studied and broken down. It was so compact and dense, but one of the smoothest reads I've ever experienced. It's one of those books that no matter what, you should read. If you are able to, I'd say pick it up right now and give it a read. There's no reason not to like this book, and a millions reasons to absolutely love and adore it. I'm going to re-read and re-read and re-read. ❤️

Had a couple great lines but couldn’t get into it and didn’t find it nearly as emotional or inspiring as anticipated.

A very poignant short story about a man dealing with dementia and the comfort that his grandson brings in the midst of it. I was genuinely impressed by the prose at some points and how the author could truly make you feel such an array of emotions. Really sad, but also really beautiful.

A pretty terrible book for one that is trying so hard to be emotionally relatable.
Overwrought, under-executed.
Its only benefit was it made me bawl even though it was terrible.
