I read recently in a book where the author makes a point to reiterate that he does not read any book that is at least not a 100 years old , I should probably make that my rule as well!!!

I didn't find it all that interesting. I only read the chapters by people I knew.

Lovely! Fascinating to get the insights of other readers and writers on what books were meaningful to them and why. I may or may not have added 30+ more books to my To Be Read list while reading...

An interesting cross-section of people, not just authors and including Lt General Flora Darpino who was the first female US Army judge advocate general, talking about the books (usually one, sometimes a few) that changed their lives (although a few coyly - annoyingly? - talk about how it is impossible to choose a single book :/ )

I’ve read many books about books this year, and I thought that maybe it was a niche genre that just wasn’t for me because all were disappointing and not anything I felt was worth spending money on. This one though? I’m buying a copy of as soon as possible. I cried. Multiple times. Because of a books about books. Hearing from so many people both known and unknown to me about the books that changed their lives felt very personal. I learnt about their families, their struggles, their fears and anxieties. All in the context of knowing how a book played a huge role in their life. I was reminded on each page of how much I love reading and why.
