I listened to the audiobook and it was really well done, though thrillers aren't really my thing.

It was slow for me to get into since the switching between POVs was kind of jarring but as I progressed and got used to the style the pacing picked up quite a bit.

Ich kann nicht sagen, dass ich es genossen habe dieses Hörbuch zu hören, weil die Geschichte selbst so gruselig ist. Es ist gut erzählt und die Story zieht einen wirklich, besonders dadurch wie realitätsnah sie ist, in ihren Bann. Ich glaube nicht, dass mir dieses Buch so schnell aus dem Kopf gehen wird.

Man hofft, wie auch bei Fällen im echten Leben auf ein gutes Ende, aber die Wahrheit ist, manchmal gibt es nur Ungewissheit.

This book would be 5 stars if it wasn’t because of the podcast style it’s written in. It’s a great audiobook, 5/5. But I wish someone would’ve recommended it that way before I got to reading. It’s an intriguing story. Throughout the whole book I just wanted to find a way to help these girls. I felt for them, I cried. I wanted to DO something. I certainly stopped reading or listening a couple of times to gather my thoughts. I bawled my eyes out. There was a point where my family took my kindle away because this book was just SO damn emotional. I wish trigger warnings were used more seriously as well as being taken more seriously because I didn’t think they’d be accurate, but damn. I felt so many raw things because I didn’t take the trigger warnings seriously. It's a great book, just beware of the things that people warn you against with this one. Courtney wasn’t playing around with this one.

the voice description in this book was so incredibly beautiful. The book is set up from Sadies POV which is so rich with detail and description and then also the POV of a podcast that was following Sadie. The podcast was quite bland but with the description in sadies POV, it was perfectly balanced. I WISH i could read this book for the first time again. One of the best books i have ever read, read content and trigger warning before reading :)
