Swan Song is a skillfully crafted, cleverly executed, often terrifying, and highly entertaining book. You cant read Swan Song without drawing comparing to The Stand, both epic books. Personally, I still lean towards The Stand as my favorite, maybe because I read it first and it left a big impression.
Both essential reads for fans of the post-apocalyptic genre.

This is probably one of the best post apocalyptic books I have read. It’s well written and has complex and interesting character development with a dark storyline.
My only issue is that after 965 pages I grew attached to some of the characters and it made it hard to start another book when I’m wondering what’s next for them.
This book gets compared to The Stand a lot, but the only things they have in common are that they are both post apocalyptic and long. I put off reading this because I wrongly assumed that they’re the same book, but Swan Song is a completely different story that deserves to be as well known as The Stand.
Give this book a shot and you will not be disappointed!

I found it similar in style to The Stand, still loved it, would definitely read it again.

I really liked this book. It took me a long time to finish it but I'm very happy that I stuck with it. And the narrator did a fantastic job.
