I loved this book so much. The writing is beautiful and I loved how the plot was all woven together. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the glass hotel, but this reminded me why I was a big fan of Emily St James Mandal. I think you should read the glass hotel and station eleven first because this has references to both of them. There’s even characters from the glass hotel in this one. Mirabella was a very compelling character and I liked finding out more about her. She was a secondary character and a friend of Vincent’s in the glass hotel. I can’t say if Emily St. James mandal’s other backlist books play a part in this book as I have not read them.
I loved the setting, it’s always incredibly beautiful and I feel like in where she is describing.
I highly recommend this book. It’s a very light scifi.

This is an interesting book. I'd say the writing is a 3.75 maybe a 3.5 out of ten, but the concept itself with all the time travel I think makes me give it a 4. It was hard to execute, and it did stick the landing, mostly.
There's nothing about this book that was bad. But in a year or two will I remember it? Perhaps? Worth the couple bucks I spent for it certainly, and I'd recommend it. But I wouldn't say I was wowed.

I love everything about this book. Connecting characters across different centuries and places, from early 20th-century Canada to a 23rd-century moon colony, this book explores the nature of time. The chapters are short but I was fully drawn in by the characters and the world building. Mandel's writing is sparse and efficient, proving you don't always need to write for 800 pages to tell a story. The plot is a bit of a slow-build but it hooks you from page one with its complicated and mysterious puzzle concerning the nature of reality. Exciting, relevant, and deeply moving, this compulsive and compelling read made me immediately turn back to page one after I finished.
