Not bad, though seems very fillerish when there's so much stuff waiting to happen.

I loved the Gog arc. Fun, deep cuts and of course, Ryan Ottley's fantastic art. I love his line work

Really good collection. Great art. Great pacing. Storytelling was a little uneven and at times childish. My biggest complaint on this run of ASM is the writing, I think they need to bring in someone with a more adult take on the characters. But overall - really good.

The ending was cute. It does a bunch of calbacks to issues I’ve never read, which don’t particularly work. The Gog issue is just absurdly dark compared to the rest of the series.

This whole arc has an obvious theme of bad guys trying to go good. A noble theme. Unfortunately, it’s all through the frame of Spider-Man, the goodest good of all time, so it’s hard to get a perspective on the others. Worse, it’s attempts to do so sometimes make Spidey look mean, unforgiving, or vindictive. It’s playing with interesting stuff, but is forced to, because this is Spider-Man, not commit in the ways it ought.

Month to month the stories are fine and usually fun. Unfortunately it continues to feel like Spencer never plotted a course for his story and jumps from storyline to storyline never wrapping up the previous ones. Just when you get invested in a story, suddenly we're jumping to totally different characters, antagonists, problems, etc. I like each issue enough on its own, and I'm sure some of this comes down to whatever events Marvel is pushing at the time, but it's super frustrating and makes me want to stop reading. I've read this line for over 2 years, but I might be reconsidering.

ComiXology lists this as 37-43. Just FYI.
