“Forbidden to remember, terrified to forget; it was a hard line to walk.”

This is horribly problematic and downright awful. I'd say this is easily the most problematic in the series. However, just like with Twilight, I can't bring myself to give this a low rating, because I had just as much fun rereading this in 2020 as I did reading it for the first time ten years ago.

I'm not going to get in dozens of issues with this book, we know them all already. Plotwise, I will say this is my least favorite in the series, because NOT ENOUGH EDWARD, the love triangle is annoying, and Bella's idiocy is at a peak in this one !!

I'll always and forever be team Edward, but he really fucked up big time in this book. Its crazy to me that now I realize how toxic the relationship is, but ten year old me reading this back in the day thought this is what true love is supposed to be lol. WILD

I genuinely think this book has an accurate and powerful- if dramatic- depiction of grief, go argue with a wall!
It was so interesting to revisit this book about seven years after first reading it as a tween, if anything I actually enjoyed it more now. When I was younger I thought this book was ridiculous, nowadays I continue to think this book is ridiculous, but I also find Bella's depression genuinely moving and understandable.
As for the actual plot, yes I would agree that it's pretty weak but it also has Alice Cullen taking a yellow Lamborghini for a joy ride, so how bad is it really

Plot was more intriguing and I like the foundations they've placed for the conflict ahead but I cant get out of my head how dumb it was for Edward to leave + characters being typical teenagers with adult responsibilities.

Nový měsíc už mi přišel krapet lepší než Stmívání a může za to jedna jediná osoba. Jacob Black.

After reading the first of the series last year, it was decided that the rest were needed. New Moon was a quick read, which was welcomed, and it focused a lot on Jacob’s life and his relationship with Bella. It was cool until he got super possessive, which is some dog behavior if there ever was. I didn’t care for the Edward/Italy stuff at the end.
