A rare case where I wish a book was longer so that we could have sunk our teeth into the individual relationships between Constanta and Magdalena, and Constanta and Alexi. We didn't even get to see the moment her and Alexi's relationship tipped over to something more romantic and sexual. A few typos and other errors at the end showed how this was a rush job on the editing side of things.

That being said, this was everything I hoped it would be. Deeply committed to its own aesthetic, sexy and dark and alluring just like the vampires it depicts on its pages, and a satisfying, hopeful ending. I can't wait to read more from this author.
