This had a slow start but once it picked up, it didn't slow down.

Luther and his friends are out for revenge on the group of people responsible for the torment of his sister Logan. Torment so heinous, she took her own life seven years prior. This number is important.  Luther's final victim - The ringleader of it all, Logan's former best friend Sevyn.

This book is dark but if you're familiar with the first couple books in the Rules of Bennett series or any of Ember Michaels work under Tori Sullivan this is not nearly as dark, in my opinion.  I think Luther's motives are something many can empathize with. Wanting revenge so badly that darkness consumes them, as it has him.

I was beyond curious to see how the author was going to top what she created with the Bennett series. To say it is something beyond twisted, cruel, epic and down right mind blowing is an understatement. Honestly, if you are not a fan of really dark and depraved stuff, I do NOT recommend this book. There are multiple triggers in this book so proceed with caution. But if you are a twisted individual who loves all kinds of stories, even the messed up ones, I would recommend proceeding! I like them once in a while just to mix things up.
I love getting some twisty messed up stories but what Ember Michaels created is something that will linger in your mind for a long time coming. The history between Sevyn and Luther is deep. It is raw, intense, heartbreaking and so much more. But due to what happened between Sevyn and Luther’s sister sealed her fate. As we get flashbacks in this story, you feel the depth of why and how things played out. The pain that not just Luther endured for so long but also the guilt that Sevyn lives with.
Overall, this is a twisted story of revenge that leaves you breathless. The build through the story and the lies and truths that are exposed make your head spin. There are moments of what just happened as well because I did not expect them. What I really enjoyed is seeing how much this author's writing has progressed and the depth of her imagination. It is dark and twisted. That much I can say. But overall, the concept is unique and will leave you asking yourself “What did I just read?!?!” And I can totally imagine what the author’s search history is like!

Ms. Michaels is a new to me author.
So I had no idea of her writing style nor her plots or characters.
Omg I was captivated from start to finish.
The writing is edgy and brilliantly delivers the intensity perfectly.
The plot and storyline of revenge and due justice are understandable with having to live with the pain and anguish of what was done to a loved one.
The characters are so complicated and so multifaceted.
The author was amazing at giving her characters the depth and development needed to understand their motives.
Luther and Sevyn are the two main characters.
They are the products of their upbringing, their environment and their circumstances.
Both are a mirror image of the other.
Just for different reasons.
Sevyn and Luther’s feelings and emotions run high and stays on that level.
No amount of time dimensions that.
The intensity that runs through their veins and blood has them reacting to the highest level of extremity.
Luther is not a hero.
Sevyn is not a heroine.
These two people are in pain and suffering and are bitter and lash out they only way they know how.
I love dark stories.
So this was right up my alley.
This is not a dark romance.
It is a story of pain, suffering and the lengths taken by all the characters involved.
There is NOT A SINGLE GOOD person in this book.
There is trying to understand the motives behind each individual’s reasoning.
And that all actions has reactions and consequences.
That ending has waiting The Sins of Luther ASAP.

**Just an FYI this is a very dark disturbing story.
There IS NO romance here.
If this is not your thing no not read.
Giving the author a low rating or bad review is absolutely not fair to her because you thought it was too dark.**

What the holy hell did I just read?

No, seriously, what did I just read!?!!!!? Moreover, why the hell did I like it so much! Actually, like isn't the right word. I am not sure what is. This is twisted and sick, but I couldn't stop reading it. I will give everyone the warning this is brutal. However, the fact that the author can write something this disturbing and still keep me engrossed. Bravo.

This is like if Jigsaw (Saw) and Dexter had a baby. I'm scared of this author and her mind. Her search engine must be insane. Bennett was brutal but Luther has him beat. This author is my favorite discovery of 2020. Read this at your own risk.

I have to say this book was unbelievably gruesome and horrific at times, but then it's a dark if not pitch black story and I for one loved every word every page in this book.
What started out as a hidden romance ends up as righting a wrong for something that was done to a loved one and Ember couldn't have picked a better person for retribution than Lunatic Luther. He was always getting into trouble for his destructive behavior when he was younger then he figured out how to hide his crazy, but now it's come out to play and he's got his sights on Sevyn and her group of friend's who he blames for the death of his sister and vengeance is going to be served for all those involved.
I couldn't wait to get my hand's on this book when I first found out about it and I went in blind not knowing what was going to happen and I'm so glad I did, because it made everything that much more intense, raw and gritty and I loved it all. I love these kind of stories where payback is served on those that get away with thing's.
I couldn't put it down until I read the ending that ends on a cliffhanger. I never wanted it to stop, so Ember please hurry.

The Destruction of Sevyn was a very dark and angst-filled story and I loved it.
Seven and her clique of friends have a very dark past where they caused Logan, a friend, to commit the ultimate sin. And for seven years they have all lived with their choices and their contribution to this horror.
Now Luther has decided to make them pay for those choices and the payment is devastating and extreme. His wrath is very real and he looks for the peace with what he inflicts on this group, but especially their leader Sevyn. Friends turn on friends, lies and secrets are revealed, and the havoc is reaped on these cruel people.
This story is dark, tragic, and unforgettable. And it was written so well that I recommend it for those who love to read dark stories.

My favorite dark author!

““I am sick,” I admitted. “But you and your clique of bitches made me this way. Payback’s a mother fucker, isn’t it?””

The revenge a brother gets after his sisters suicide...
Ember Michaels is the most creative when it comes to killings. That’s what makes her dark writing so damn entertaining. She really knows how to make you cringe.

This is a fast paced AMAZING dark ass book. Yes it leaves on a cliffie but read it anyway. It’s awesome.

I give this book a very dark rating. I give respect to the writers talent. Clearly the writer can cultivate and create a thrilling, dark story that had me anxious to find out what was the cause of issues in the book. I found this book Riveting and psychotic at the same time. All in all the book was good.

Important this book contains dark triggers. Please be advised.
